SGA Sustainability Committee:

Working to make UMD a national model for a green and carbon-free university!

About

As part of the University of Maryland's Student Government Association (SGA), the Sustainability Committee (SSC) advises the SGA and University administration to ensure that sustainability remains a campus-wide focus.

Campaigns

It is our duty to represent the student body's interests - if you've got an idea for a sustainability project, please take a moment to let us know! Or read up on what we're currently working on.

Resources

Explore on and off campus resources to fund your sustainability project, get help from UMD activists, and help take your green project to the next level.

Get Involved

Joining SSC is about joining a campus-wide green community! If you're passionate about environmentalism, join us for regular hikes, camping trips, picnics and more!

Check out what we're up to on our social media feeds:

Highlighted Project:

Sustainability Mini Grants

This year, the SSC will be allocating $10,000 each semester to sustainability projects across campus. The projects must be for less than $2,000, and must benefit both the environmental sustainability and student experience at UMD. What will your project be?
